AFFT calls on Congress to eliminate IRS targeting by enacting the FairTax® Press Release

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

AFFT calls on Congress to eliminate IRS targeting by enacting the FairTax®.

HOUSTON, TX - May16, 2013 - Americans For Fair Taxation® (AFFT), outraged by the Internal Revenue Service's (IRS) continued political abuse and intimidation of citizens and organizations, is calling on Congress to immediately enact HR 25/S 122, the FairTax® Act of 2013 and phase out the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). "No person or group is safe from IRS targeting; everyone is a bull’s eye," said AFFT spokesperson Cynthia T. Canevaro.

She added, "The agency, with over 90,000 employees and an annual budget in excess of $12 billion, has historically been the ultimate tool of extreme political manipulation by politicians of both major parties. That’s exactly what our Founding Fathers feared."

"These types of abuses of are nothing new," said Dan Mastromarco, tax attorney and co-author of HR 25/S 122. He added, "In 1819, Former Chief Justice John Marshall warned in McCulloch v. Maryland that, ‘An unlimited power to tax involves, necessarily, a power to destroy.’ The FairTax Act is the only way in which Congress can once and for all eliminate the harassment, political exploitation and selective enforcement against perceived dissidents. It levels the playing field and redistributes power to the citizens who pay the taxes."

The FairTax Plan is a comprehensive proposal that replaces all federal income and payroll based taxes with a national retail sales tax, a "prebate" to ensure no American pays federal taxes on spending up to the poverty level, dollar-for-dollar federal revenue neutrality and, through companion legislation, the repeal of the 16th Amendment, which authorized the creation of the income tax.

"Congress has enabled IRS activities with more than 5,000 code changes in just 11 years, and even expanded their scope to include enforcement of major provisions of Obamacare," said Canevaro. "Congress created this problem. They now have an opportunity to correct it by enacting the FairTax Plan and asking the President to join them in signing the measure into law."

Indoctrination in Common Core ELA Texts

Make sure your school is not using curriculum materials from Zaner Bloser. Their new Common Core centered text books actually walk 1st graders through the process of selecting word choices in their sentences for the explicitly stated purpose of manipulating their parents to increase their likelihoods of getting what they want! The whole thing is indoctrination, from the 1st grade on, promoting democrat hogwash and subliminal concepts of moral relativism. I've never seen anything so infuriating for a 1st grade classroom!

Drone use in Homeland is a State issue, not HSA

Use of drones on the homeland is a State issue, NOT Federal. We in Michigan, under the leadership of State Representative Tom McMillin, have drone legislation before the house. The goal is to control use of drones needing a warrant or in the event of imminent danger. The discussion is centered on the use of drones for events and for such activity as traffic monitoring, available for active crimes being committed.

Michigan also have NDAA, repeal of nationalism of education called common core, 2nd Amendment intra-State sovereignty, fighting Federal exchanges against the Affordable Care Act, all on the table in the legislature.

We need to call our legislature and demand Constitutional conduct and State Sovereignty. Most important, we need jobs and tweaking what we have for a tax structure does nothing. Demand FairTax, a consumption tax made of a free trade world, in harmony with open boarders, not as we are, double taxed with single benefit production tax, meant for closed borders, and even then still double taxed, just no foreign competition. Anyone who has been around for 50 years has paid attention to how we lost manufacturing to overseas for the past 30 years, ever since Reagan gave us Free Trade.

We need a State resolution that, in the event of 37 States passing verbatim, this Resolution Bill shall be declared a call to Constitutional Convention for the said purpose of this Bill and only this Bill, for the purpose of the Convention to crisan the new Amendment to the Constitution. This tool can be used to bring about discipline upon our path we travel, ie the proper interpretation of the Commerce clause as written, the education of law on Federalist #78's definition of the Constitutional words, "Good Conduct of the Judiciary" and a finger back at Congress and the President...
