Governor Huckabee on controversial Clemency

Governor Huckabee on controversial Clemency

This alleged person of interest is walking the streets due to the character of America's Law of Grace and mercy.  Better to have a Man of conviction who is a cautious leader then one who throws away the key.

We live in a judicial system that is ran by politically correct feelings, that the line between circumstantial facts and direct evidence is so blurred, the Judge reads the Law to the Jurists and it seems to be like glass as the words fall to the floor, much like the truth of Jury Nullification.

The number of Souls who repented and have gone on to be respectable citizens from Governor Huckabee's pardon does not justify the loss of life from one who disrespects their Mercy.  But to not have pardons for your sins, leaves your liberty in a very difficult position.  The Old Testament with it's eye for an eye had a system of redemption.  Not so sure about the Islam's Shariah Law for it to is an eye for an eye.

Don't opportunity do this often but this circumstance demands this:

And, behold a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, "Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?" He said unto him, "what is written in the law? how readest thou?" And he, answering, said, "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself." And he said unto him, "Thou hast answered right; this do, and thou shalt live."--Luke x. 25-28.

Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, "Master, which is the great commandment in the law?" Jesus said unto him, "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul. and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets." --Matt. xxii 35-40. http://www.qhpress.org/quakerpages/qhoa/wilton.htm

AMEN~

Did you know that a jury is over the Judge and that they can ignore evidence and declare the defendant innocent due to overriding circumstance, like an unconstitutional Law? No appeal can be afforded to being found innocent.

When people break the Law, someone is arrested. This Global warming Hoax rises to the Highest Crime committed on this USA.  It is time for another Congressional Commission in Grand Jury capacity to possibly prosecute this horrendous crime.  The testimony of J.R. Dunn below is enough in my book to warrant so:

Global Warming Fraud and the Future of Science

The East Anglia Climate Research Unit (CRU) revelations come as no real surprise to anyone who has closely followed the global-warming saga. The Anthropogenic Global Warming (AGW) thesis, to give it its semi-official name, is no stranger to fraud. It is no real exaggeration to state that it was fertilized with fraud, marinated in fraud, stewed in fraud, and at last served up to the world as prime, grade-A fraud with nice side orders of fakery and disingenuousness. Damning as they may be, the CRU e-mails are merely the climactic element in an exhaustively long line.

The Y2K Glitch. This episode involved the NASA/GISS team led by James Hansen, possibly the most fanatical and unrelenting of all warmists -- a man who makes Al Gore look like a skeptic. (Among other things, Hansen has demanded that warming "deniers" be tried for "crimes against humanity.") While examining a series of NASA temperature graphs, Canadian statistician Steve McIntyre, himself not so much a skeptic as an anti-warming Van Helsing, uncovered a discontinuity occurring in January 2000 that raised temperatures gathered over widespread areas by 1-2 degrees Fahrenheit. McIntyre had no easy time of it, since Hansen refused to reveal what algorithm he'd used to process the data, forcing McIntyre to perform some very abstruse calculations to figure it out.

Once notified, Hansen's team promised to correct the error, stating that it was an "oversight." When the corrected figures were at last released, they rocked the church of warming from bingo hall to steeple. Vanished was the claim that the past few years were "the warmest on record." Now 1934 took precedence. A full half of the top ten warmest years occurred before WWII, well prior to any massive CO2 buildup.

No explanation has ever been offered. We have a Y2K glitch that behaves like no other computer glitch ever encountered, uniformly affecting a large number of sources distributed almost nationwide. Although the incident trashed all recent data and raised uncomfortable questions about the warming thesis as a whole, NASA itself made no effort at an investigation or inquiry. All that we're ever going to hear is "oversight." I guess that's how they do things at NASA/GISS.

The Arctic Ice Melt. We've been informed for the better part of a decade that Arctic ice was melting at an unprecedented rate, and that the North Pole would be ice-free in twenty, thirty, or forty years, depending in the hysteria level of the media platform in question. In truth, ice thinning was due to a cyclical weather pattern in which winds blow ice floes south into warmer water. Everybody involved knew that this cycle occurred, everyone had seen it happen previously since time out of mind. But it was too good an opportunity to pass up. Worse yet, when the weather returned to its normal pattern two years ago, large numbers of scientists put in considerable effort to suggest that the "new" ice was thinner than usual and would vanish in a flash as soon as the temperatures went back up. The media went along with the joke. The Germans have a phrase to cover such eventualities: "this crew should be stripped of their trade." (Several expeditions setting out for the Pole to "call attention" to the coming Arctic catastrophe had to stop short due to icy conditions. In one case, both women involved suffered serious frostbite.)

The Poor Polar Bears
. Closely related is the saga of the polar bears, staring extinction in the face due to warming, while somewhere beyond the aurora, Gaia weeps bitter tears. This was evidently inspired by a single photograph (you've seen it -- the entire world has at this point) of a woebegone polar bear crouched on a melting iceberg. That bear had to be sulking over allowing a nice, juicy seal to escape, because it was in no danger. Out of the twenty major polar bear populations, only two are known to be decreasing. Estimates of bear population (there are no exact figures) have increased over the past forty years, from 17,000 to 19,000 to the current number of 22,000 to 27,000. The bears are becoming pests in municipalities such as Churchill and Point Barrow (as clearly shown here). Despite all this, the bear was put on the U.S. "endangered" list just last year.

The Hockey Stick That Wasn't. The "hockey stick" is a nickname for a chart prepared by Michael Mann, a Pennsylvania State University professor and leading warmist. The chart purports to show temperature levels for the past millennium, and consists of a straight line until it reaches the late 20th century, when it suddenly shoots upward, creating the "hockey stick" profile. This chart was a major feature of International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) reports on global warming and is a commonly used media graphic.

This chart creates immediate doubt in anyone knowledgeable about the climate of the past millennium, which more resembles a roller coaster than a straight line. It developed -- in yet another impressive McIntyre takedown, this time with an assist from Ross McKitrick -- that Mann was utilizing an algorithm that would produce hockey sticks if you fed it telephone numbers. (Mann is the "Mike" mentioned in the CRU e-mails, and this is one of his "tricks.") Despite this disclosure, Mann has never withdrawn the chart, offered an explanation, or made a correction. The chart remains an accepted piece of evidence among warmists.

Tree-Ring Circus. Due to the fact that direct temperature measures for past epochs are lacking, climatologists utilize "proxy measures," such as tree rings, glacial moraines, and lake sediments. Tree rings have played an important part in the warming controversy as evidence backing the claim that temperatures have been consistently lower worldwide until recently. A crucial series of measurements utilized by Mann, among others, involves trees located on the Yamal peninsula in Siberia. How many trees were measured, you ask? A hundred? A thousand? Ten thousand?

The answer is twelve: a number perfectly adequate to trigger international panic, overthrow the capitalist system, establish Green totalitarianism, and completely turn Western culture on its head.

But it turns out that further measurements were in fact made in the area, involving at least thirty-four other trees. And when this data is added to the original twelve, then the warming evidence disappears into the same branch of the Twilight Zone as the grip of Mann's hockey stick. Another "oversight", you understand.

We could go on to mention the automated U.S. weather stations chronicled by the tireless Anthony Watts, which were conscientiously placed next to air-con vents, atop sewage plants, in parking lots, and in one case, in a swamp (as many as 90% may be giving spurious high readings). We could mention the glaciers that are vanishing worldwide...except where they aren't, or the endless papers demonstrating that the coral reefs -- along with various birds, animals, insects, and plants -- are facing extinction even though no warming whatsoever has occurred for twelve years. (And in the thirty years before that, the total rise was 1.25 degrees Fahrenheit, easily within normal variation.) Powerful stuff, this warming -- it maims and destroys even when it's not happening.

It's within this context that the East Anglia e-mails must be judged. The vanishingly small number of  legacy media writers who are paying attention behave as if the messages comprise some kind of puzzling anomaly, with no relation to anything that came before. In truth, they stand as the internal memos from the East Anglia branch of the Nigerian National Bank, which can save us from the horrors of global warming after payment of a small up-front fee.

There is always a deeper level to the damage caused by fraud. It strains social relationships, generates cynicism, and debases standing institutions. What has suffered the most damage from AGW is faith in the scientific method, the basic set of procedures -- it could be called an algorithm -- governing scientific investigation. These procedures embody simplicity itself: you examine a phenomenon. You gather data. You construct a hypothesis to explain that phenomenon. And then...

Well, first, let's cover what you don't do.
  • You don't manipulate data (as CRU chief scientist Phil Jones stated he was doing in the now-famous "Mike's trick" e-mail, not to mention throughout the now-famous source code).
  • You don't fabricate data (as one CRU scientist did while compiling weather-station data. Running into problems, he states, "I can make it up. So I did." He adds an evil smiley face. This e-mail has gone under radar up until now. It can be found in the comments on James Delingpole's blog.).
  • You don't deny data to other investigators (as Hansen, Jones, and, it appears, everybody else in the warming community has done at one time or another).
  • You don't destroy evidence (as the members of the CRU did following a Freedom of Information request).
  • You don't bury contradictory data (as Jones and several colleagues did in an attempt to undercut the impact of the Medieval Warming Period).
  • You don't secretly manipulate the argument from behind the scenes (as the CRU staff did with the website Realclimate.org., screening comments to allow only those that supported the warming thesis).
  • You don't secretly undercut your critics (as Mann advised the CRU to do concerning the scientific journal Climate Research: "I think we have to stop considering 'Climate Research' as a legitimate peer-reviewed journal. Perhaps we should encourage our colleagues in the climate research community to no longer submit to, or cite papers in, this journal.").
  • You don't try to get a journal editor critical of your case fired (as the CRU staff evidently succeeded in doing with an editor for Geophysical Research Letters).

What you do, if you are a serious scientist operating according to the established method, is attempt to thwart your hypothesis. Test it to destruction; carry out serious attacks on its weakest points to see if they hold up. If they do -- and the vast majority of hypotheses suffer the indignity embodied in a phrase attributed variously to Thomas Huxley and Lord Kelvin -- "a beautiful theory slain by an ugly fact" -- then you have a theory that can be published, and tested, and verified by other scientists. If you don't, you throw it out.

None of this, amidst all the chicanery, fabrications, and manipulations, appears to have been done by anyone active in global warming research, the CRU least of all. From this point, we are forced to conclude that AGW is not science, and that any "consensus" that can be drawn from it is a consensus of fraud.

(The late-breaking revelations of temperature manipulations at New Zealand's NiWA institute -- another one of Mike's tricks? -- merely underlines the lesson of CRU. Now that the dam has busted, we'll be hearing dozens of stories like this over the weeks and months to come.)

The West is a technological society. Science is as responsible for making us what we are as any other factor, including our democratic system of government. The two are in fact complementary, each supporting and encouraging the other across the decades since this country was established. (And yes, I am aware that Britain and Germany were both centers of scientific progress, both of them nations liberalized by the example of the United States. Even the utterly authoritarian Bismarck was forced to heed the voice of the people despite his inclination to do anything but.)

The technology developed from scientific research has created a world that would be unrecognizable to our forebears of even a century ago. Technology has transformed diet, health, communications, and transportation. It has doubled lifespans in advanced countries. Prior to the modern epoch, few ever caught a glimpse of the world past their own farming fields. India, China, and Africa were wild myths, the Pacific and Antarctica utterly unknown, the planets and stars merely pretty lights in the sky. Technology opened the world -- not just for everyday men and women, but for invalids, the disabled, and the subnormal, who once lived lives of almost incomprehensible deprivation. Technology was a crucial factor in the dissolution of ancient empires and the humbling of aristocracies.

As Paul Johnson has pointed out, a technological breakout appeared imminent at a number of points in the past millennium. Consider the anonymous Hussite engineer of the 15th century who left a notebook even more breathtaking than any of Leonardo da Vinci's, or the revolutionary English Levelers of the 17th century who dreamed of flying machines and factories. If a breakout had occurred at those times, the consequences would have been unimaginable. But the Hussites were destroyed by the German princes, the Levelers by the reestablishment of the English crown. It required the birth of a true democratic republic in the late 18th century to provide the setting for a serious scientific-technical takeoff, one that after two hundred years has brought us to where we stand today, gazing out at the galaxies beyond the galaxies, with the secret of life itself within reach.

It is this, and no less, that scientific fraud threatens. This is no trivial matter; it involves one of the basic elements of modern Western life. When scientific figures lie, they lie to all of us. If they foment serious distrust of the scientific endeavor -- as they are doing -- they are creating a schism in the heart of our culture, a wound that in the long run could prove even more deadly than the jihadi terrorists.

Such failings are not relegated only to climatology. The apparent success of the climate hustlers has infected all areas of research. Over the past decade, stem-cell studies have proven a hotbed of fraud. Recall Dr. Hwang Woo Suk, the South Korean biologist who claimed to have cloned various higher animals and isolated new stem cell lines to worldwide applause. Suk was discovered to have faked all his research, prompting the South Korean government to ban him from taking part in any further work. Nor was he alone. Researchers throughout the field have been caught fabricating and manipulating data, and at least one large biotech company has developed a habit of announcing grand breakthroughs to goose its stock prices.

A number of factors are responsible, among them the grant-making process, which rewards extravagant claims and demands matching results, and the superstar factor, in which media adulation creates a sense of intellectual arrogance -- as in the case of Dr. Suk -- unmatched since Galileo's heyday. But the major problem lies in politics, specifically as involves ideology.

In both major recent cases of fraud, science had become entwined and infected with ideology to a point where its very nature was transformed. It was no longer science in the classic mold, boldly asking basic questions without fear or favor. It had become an ideological tool, carrying out only such research as met with the approval of political elites. Stem-cell research became enmeshed with the abortion question. Embryonic stem cells, obtained by "processing" aborted babies, received the lion's share of funding and attention despite their showing no potential whatsoever. Adult stem cells, obtainable from bone marrow, skin cells, or virtually any other part of the body, were shunted aside despite extraordinarily promising research results. This bias permeated the entire field and distorted all perceptions of it -- one of the reasons Dr. Suk was so wildly overpraised was his willingness to attack Pres. George W. Bush for limiting embryonic stem-cell exploitation.

The climatology story is no different. Environmentalist Greens needed a threat -- one that menaced not only technological civilization, but life on earth itself. They have promoted an endless parade of such threats since the 1960s -- overpopulation, pollution, runaway nuclear power, and global cooling -- only to see them shrivel like old balloons. They required a menace that was overwhelming, long-term, and not easily disproven. With global warming, the climatologists gave them one. In exchange for sky-high funding, millennial scientists -- the heirs of Bacon, Copernicus, and Einstein, men who bled and suffered for the sake of their work -- continually inflated the nature and extent of the CO2 threat by using the sleaziest methods available, as we now know. The result has been complete intellectual degradation.

Scientists were once among the most trusted figures in Western public life -- similar to bankers, priests, and doctors, but in a real sense, standing above them all. Scientists were honored as truth-tellers, aware that their reputation for veracity and seriousness was their only real asset. And while exceptions existed (read the story of Blondlot and his N-rays, for one example), the public took them at their own valuation.

That has ended. The concept of unblemished scientific integrity is now one with the scholastic monasteries and the academy at Athens. Scientists today are well on their way to becoming an amalgam of the cheap politician and the three-card monte dealer. They are viewed by the less educated as a privileged class making alarming and impudent claims for their own benefit. The better-informed find ourselves in the uncomfortable position of being unable to defend something we once admired.

The next set of questions in physics cannot be answered without equipment costing billions at the very least, and possibly much more. Will a disbelieving public pay for that? We are facing serious dilemmas concerning breakthroughs in biology, not only in stem-cell technology, but also in neurology and synthetic biology -- breakthroughs that threaten to distort the very nature of humanity itself. Should we leave the solutions up to people who want us to pick a card, any card?

The collaboration between science and democracy is one of the great achievements of human history. It is now threatened by the behavior of people at the very heart of that collaboration. If it is destroyed, a treasure of unparalleled value will have vanished. This treasure will be nearly impossible to replace. If the Western world wishes to continue its magnificent upward journey, then we have to save science from itself. An errant and corrupt climatology is the place to start.

Climate Gate & Copenhagen Threat-As of Nov 25-| will end USA Constitution

As Guy Holland says below, it will only take a simple majority to pass this Obama signature to the Global Warming Treaty through Congress.  It is also known that any treaty agreed to must adhere to the Constitution.  Problem is, our Federal Government has not adhered to the Constitution for many years and the American people, even when known sit in apathy as their liberties and freedom dwindle away.  We either stand up now and make the conduct of our Federal Government Constitutional or say goodbye to the greatest Republic on God's planet Earth to ever exist and odds are will ever exist.  It is our choice, be patriotic and vote for only Constitutional Conservatives.

Go to Independence Caucus and force your representatives to take the vetting questionnaire.  If they refuse, get someone, anyone who can pass it to run for Congress and get them elected in 2010.

Below is a very detailed coverage of the Climategate that is unfolding from the UN.  Let us stop these dictators form conquering the USA from within with the aid and comfort of the Democrat party.  Find unity with any group who supports the Constitution and work out the finer details another day.  Save our Republic now from the final killing blow to our Constitution.

As Monckton says, this is the 59th second of the 59th minute of the 11th hour to preserve our liberties. With Climategate we now have the amunition to stop Obama signing this global travesty. Once he signs it, a simple majority in both Houses can ram it through here.

Four minutes here encapsulates it:

The document is "FCCC/AWGLCA/2009/INF.2"; Notes 36, 37 & 38, pages 18 & 19, are particularly revealing.

http://maindb.unfccc.int/library/view_pdf.pl?url=http://unfccc.int/resource/docs/2009/awglca7/eng/inf02.pdf )

This document is the "revised negotiating text" for the draft treaty prepared by facilitators of the Conference of the Parties (Bonn, GE, August 2009), aka, Ad Hoc Working Group on Long Term Cooperative Action under the Convention. As is, it will give an unelected world government direct power over all financial and trading markets, as well as power over all elected governments of the nations that sign the treaty. The proposed new supranational bureaucratic entity will also have the power to require wealthier nations to redistribute up to 2% of their annual gross domestic product to third-world countries in "reparation" for a "climate debt" now refuted by more than 31,000 scientists–as opposed to the 2,500 who have already benefited monetarily from grants in the hundreds of millions of dollars, and who will be one of a limited number of people left on the planet to thrive if this scam goes through. Needless-to-say, Banksters and Al Gore will fare even better.

--------------------------

Australian radio interview: PM Mudd running away from Global Warming promises! and being very secretive.

Details by Lord Monckton on this show.

The Copenhagen treaty in Dec 2009 will create a World Government, taking away democracies; in 200 pages of the draft treaty, there's no democracy, elections, or anything. The science behind global warming has collapsed - only 1/6 of the warming the UN thought (Richard Lindom, MIT, brilliant scientist, showed radiation gets out just as it aways did - doesn't stay down in atmosphere to heat the earth. Therefore, the climate change is just a scam, there is no longer a climate problem.

Treaty includes references to world government, and hands over power directly to intervene in economic, tax, environmental affairs of signing countries. Can go over the heads of any elected government. Complex UN verbiage! New World Gvt will take  control of free markets - trade, financial. Enormous scope and powers, sensitive areas, particularly economic. Signatories cannot resign from this agreement, unless all signatories agree. Unlike the UN, where provisions for leaving exist. The draft has been through several rounds - no alarms raised. Kevin Rudd doesn't even admit the  treaty exists - very wicked game. How you run your economy; what car fuels; how many cars! and  complete control over all economic management. Serious stuff - intl treaties  stand alongside the Constitution but take precedence. Once signed, it takes precedence, and without an exist clause, there's no retiring from it.

Monckton said at StPaul - time to rise up and stop the signing at 11th hour! He's seeing the message get out in US and CAN, and  in Australia now. Putting together an instrument of repudiation for all representatives of democracies to disallow this treaty when they get into  power.

HuckPac Statement Regarding Washington State Slayings-Suspect was a parole

Suspect was a parole:

Statement Regarding Washington State Slayings

The senseless and savage execution of police officers in Washington State has saddened the nation, and early reports indicate that a person of interest is a repeat offender who once lived in Arkansas and was wanted on outstanding warrants here and in Washington State. The murder of any individual is a profound tragedy, but the murder of a police officer is the worst of all murders in that it is an assault on every citizen and the laws we live within.

Should he be found to be responsible for this horrible tragedy, it will be the result of a series of failures in the criminal justice system in both Arkansas and Washington State. He was recommended for and received a commutation of his original sentence from 1990, making him parole eligible and was paroled by the parole board once they determined he met the conditions at that time. He was arrested later for parole violation and taken back to prison to serve his full term, but prosecutors dropped the charges that would have held him. It appears that he has continued to have a string of criminal and psychotic behavior but was not kept incarcerated by either state. This is a horrible and tragic event and if found and convicted the offender should be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law. Our thoughts and prayers are and should be with the families of those honorable, brave, and heroic police officers.

Potential Trouble for Huckabee?

This will cause more concerns over Governor Huckabee's judgment and his unwillingness to listen to the people he hired to protect innocent lives.

"Maurice Clemmons, the 37-year-old Tacoma man being sought for questioning in the killing of four Lakewood police officers this morning, has a long criminal record punctuated by violence, erratic behavior and concerns about his mental health.

Nine years ago, then-Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee granted clemency to Clemmons, commuting his lengthy prison sentence over the protestations of prosecutors."...

And, behold a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? He said unto him, what is written in the law? how readest thou? And he, answering, said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right; this do, and thou shalt live.--Luke x. 25-28.

Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul. and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. --Matt. xxii 35-40. http://www.qhpress.org/quakerpages/qhoa/wilton.htm

We live in a judicial system that is ran by politically correct feelings, that the line between circumstantial facts and direct evidence is so blurred, the Judge reads the Law to the Jurists and it seems to be like glass as the words fall to the floor, much like the truth of Jury Nullification.  Did you know that a jury is over the Judge and that if they can ignore evidence and declare the defendant innocent due to overriding circumstance. No appeal can be afforded to found innocent.

The FairTax pre-bate is not socialism, it is your money

The FairTax pre-bate is not socialism
 It is your money
Article by Frankie Ray

Who understands that the Constitution does not authorized congress to set up a social security system?  This is "Socialism".

Where did this comment come from, and how would it relate to the debate about the Fair Tax? No one here at I-caucus advocates in favor of Social Security and I think I speak for virtually everyone here that we clearly know that social security is unconstitutional.

Several months ago, on this very forum, Independent Caucus, we answered questions or to statements about the pre-bate and about tax rates:

#1) At I-caucus we do not advocate "revenue neutral" as part of our stand on the National Sales Tax(NST) as a tax solution. The reason we do not advocate "revenue neutral" is because to do so would legitimize the current level of taxation in this country as acceptable or as the correct level of taxation; and we do not accept the current level of taxation as correct, acceptable, or legitimate.

Accordingly, there is a mechanism built into the Fixed Pie Budget that automatically adjusts the NST tax rate over time, no matter what rate the NST is established at when adopted.

Accordingly, there are no valid arguments against our position in favor of the NST which are based on a specified tax rate of any number, and any links you are leaving that argue against an NST based on a specific tax rate are, at best, irrelevant.

#2) Arguing that a "prebate" is socialism is, at best, incorrect. Here again is why calling it socialism is incorrect:

a) Under today's tax laws, if I have $1,000 per month withheld out of my paycheck, at the end of the year the government would have taken $12,000 of MY money. Correct?

b) If I then prepare my 1040 tax form, and it is decided that my tax debt for the year was only $10,400….the government would send me a refund check of $1,600. Correct?

c) Is that $1,600 refund check that the government sent me welfare? Is it socialism? No, it is not welfare and it is not socialism because the government is merely giving me back MY money. Correct?

d) If the government could decide at the beginning of any given year, that it KNEW it would be withholding $1,600 more of my money than it required of me, and sent me a check for $1,600 of my money in ADVANCE instead of at the end of the year...would that be welfare of socialism? No, it would not, because whether or not the government gives me back MY money in advance or after the fact, it is still MY money either way. Correct?

e) OK, so under the proposed NST with a pre-bate feature, when the government sends a pre-bate check it is merely refunding to me MY money in advance, before I spend MY money paying my consumption taxes during that month.

f) The government giving me back MY money is never socialism or welfare.

g) Therefore, anyone who argues that the Pre-bate built into the NST is socialism or welfare either is uneducated or deliberately misleading.

"To Form A More Perfect Union" Narrative by Chief Justice John G. Roberts

"To Form A More Perfect Union" Narrative by John G. Roberts

On December 3, 2009, the United States Mint will release the 2009 Proof American Platinum Eagle. The reverse design of the one ounce .9995 platinum coin will feature the first of six different designs to commemorate the core concepts of American Democracy.

2009 Proof Platinum EagleThe collectible version of the Platinum Eagle has carried a different reverse design for each year of issue. This has included two previous multi-year design programs. The "Vistas of Liberty" program, which ran from 1998 to 2002, featured depictions of the Bald Eagle in different regions of the United States. The "Foundations of Democracy" program, which ran from 2006 to 2008, featured designs representing the three branches of government.

The current program will run from 2009 to 2014 and represent the core concepts of American democracy through representations of the six principles of the Preamble of the United States Constitution. This will include:  To Form a More Perfect Union (2009), To Establish Justice (2010), To Insure Domestic Tranquility (2011), To Provide for the Common Defense (2012), To Promote General Welfare (2013), and To Secure the Blessings of Liberty to Ourselves and our Posterity (2014). Themes for each of the reverse designs are inspired by narratives prepared by Chief Justice of the United States, John G. Roberts, Jr., at the request of the US Mint.

The Chief Justice's first narrative is presented below. This narrative inspired the reverse design of the 2009 Proof Platinum Eagle, which features four faces representing the diversity of the Nation, with hair and clothing intertwined to symbolize the principle "To Form a More Perfect Union."

"To Form A More Perfect Union" by John G. Roberts, Jr.

When the thirteen American colonies issued their Declaration of Independence from Great Britain in 1776, they recognized that the success of the American Revolution depended on unity in opposition to British rule. As the Revolutionary War progressed, those thirteen fledgling entities agreed, through "Articles of Confederation and Perpetual Union," to establish the United States of America. The Articles of Confederation proved inadequate, however, in creating an effective national government. After the Revolutionary War, the states convened a constitutional convention in Philadelphia to reconsider the terms of their confederation. During that fateful summer of 1787, America's leading statesmen drafted the Constitution of the United States of America with the avowed objective "to form a more perfect Union."

John Jay, who would later become the first Chief Justice of the United States, joined James Madison and Alexander Hamilton in authoring a series of essays, now known as The Federalist Papers, to urge the citizens to support ratification of the Constitution. In The Federalist No.2, Jay explained that the Constitution's promise of "a more perfect Union" rested upon a unity of distinctly American ideals, interests, and experiences that joined the people of the United States together as one nation.

Jay noted that "independent America was not composed of detached and distant territories," but rather was "one connected, fertile, widespreading country" with "a variety of soils," "innumerable streams," and a "succession of navigable waters" that "forms a kind of chain round its borders as if to bind it together." Jay also recognized that "Providence has been pleased to give this one connected country to one united people" who, "by their joint counsels, arms, and efforts, fighting side by side throughout a long and bloody war, have nobly established their general liberty and independence." He discerned a connection between the land and the people:

This country and this people seem to have been made for each other, and it appears as if it was the design of Providence that an inheritance so proper and convenient for a band of brethren, united to each other by the strongest ties, should never be split into a number of unsocial, jealous, and alien sovereignties.

John Jay believed that this "band of brethren" found unity in the English ancestry, heritage, and customs that many of the citizens of his era shared. But history has shown that the Constitution's aspiration of "a more perfect Union" rests more fundamentally on a unity of common beliefs that Americans of all backgrounds throughout history have embraced. As the United States has expanded across the continent, overcome internal conflict, and welcomed new states, the nation has found enduring strength in its people's diverse origins and perspectives. The United States remains perpetually united by a shared dedication to the ideals of liberty, justice, and equality. Through those shared ideals, each new generation has sustained the Constitution's promise of "a more perfect Union."

My Comment:

Chief Justice Roberts has said it well.  Let us not become alien Sovereignties.
  • Let us become united Sovereignties, standing in unison within the Constitution of the USA.
  • Let us remind the Federal Government their roll and to stop unconstitutional conduct.
  • Let us repeal the Amendment 17 - Senators Elected by Popular Vote and return the Senate to being appointed by State Assemblies, thereby ending the unconstitutional reign of the Shadow in Washington DC by Old Media Bias.
  • Let us repeal the sixteenth Amendment and return sanity to our Tax Structure Federally via the FairTax.org
  • Let us suggest each State enact their own Health Care solution by mandating the HSA/IRA plan through private insurance.
Thank you Chief Justice Roberts for this Oration.

Bucking GOP hierarchy, Senator DeMint supports..| Federalist conservatives

Bucking GOP hierarchy, DeMint supports conservative underdogs

S.C. senator's willingness to defy the party establishment rare for freshman lawmaker.

Sen. Jim DeMint: "We've got a chance in this next election to prove a lot of establishment Republicans wrong and show that anywhere in the country principled conservatives can win."
WASHINGTON South Carolina's Sen. Jim DeMint is using his rising national profile among conservative activists to support and bankroll Republican Senate candidates around the country, some of them underdogs challenging GOP establishment favorites.
DeMint's endorsements of former Florida House Speaker Marco Rubio over Gov. Charlie Crist and California state Rep. Chuck DeVore over former Hewlett-Packard chief executive Carly Fiorina put him at odds with other prominent Republicans, including Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, Sen. John McCain of Arizona and fellow South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham.
In Pennsylvania, DeMint's endorsement of former Rep. Pat Toomey helped prompt incumbent Sen. Arlen Specter to bolt the Republican Party and run for re-election as a Democrat.
DeMint, who has met with or plans to interview 20 GOP candidates in eight states, has started doling out money from his Senate Conservatives Fund, a political action committee that's raised $1.45 million - most of it from supporters in other states.
"We've got a chance in this next election to prove a lot of establishment Republicans wrong and show that anywhere in the country principled conservatives can win," DeMint told thousands of activists in a Nov. 3 conference call.
DeMint, a first-term senator seeking re-election next year, has attracted conservative followers nationwide for blocking appropriations earmarks, helping to defeat immigration reforms and leading GOP opposition to expanded federal medical benefits.
DeMint's willingness to go outside his party's official endorsement structure - led by Sen. John Cornyn of Texas, head of the National Republican Senatorial Committee - is rare for a sitting senator, and virtually unheard of for a freshman.
Katon Dawson, a former S.C. Republican chairman who narrowly lost to Michael Steele in January to head the national party, said DeMint's name increasingly resonates in other states.
"He now is in a prominent leadership role in the Republican Party to where his endorsement matters and means something," Dawson said.
Among 413 donors who've contributed at least $200 to DeMint's Senate Conservatives Fund political action committee, only eight are from South Carolina.
DeMint, 58, makes no bones that he's more focused on advancing conservative goals nationwide than on pursuing the parochial interests of his state.
"All of you all over the country - please remember that Senate seats are not about a particular state," DeMint told more than 4,000 listeners on the recent conference call.
"They're about our country," DeMint said. "Every vote I take is not about South Carolina. It's about the United States of America."
DeMint, a resident of heavily Republican Upstate South Carolina, hosted a conference call with Eric Erickson, a founder of the popular conservative blog redstate.com.
After the NRSC endorsed Crist in his run for Congress, Erickson called for his readers not to make any contributions to candidates backed by the official Republican campaign committee.
DeMint was the only senator who addressed tens of thousands of Tea Party protesters Sept. 12 at an anti-Obama rally outside the U.S. Capitol. Some carried signs comparing Obama to Nazi founder Adolf Hitler and al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden.
Susan McManus, a political science professor at the University of South Florida, said Democrats are trying to link DeMint with Erickson in a bid similar to Republicans' efforts last year to tie Obama to the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, the president's former minister in Chicago who had bitterly criticized the United States in sermons.
Obama, though, distanced himself from Wright, while DeMint continues to use Erickson's army of followers to reach conservative activists....full article

my comment:
All the names mentioned in this article, McConnell, Graham, McCain, Cornyn, all have one thing in common, they are for conservative Nationalism and probably not a clue what it means to be a Federalist Conservative.  RINOs are on the hit list and it may be these guys if they don't repent and read the Constitution. Why FairTax will save Michigan Fiscally~Editorial to LSJ

Under the National FairTax plan, a product now costing $1.00 today will, under National FairTax, cost $.96 if manufactured in the USA and will cost $1.23 if imported.

A domestic product of $1.00 cost before FairTax will cost  $.78 under FairTax.  FairTax calls for a 23% tax to replace the unconstitutional spending at the Federal level.  Thus, $.78 *$.23=$.18 will be the federal sales tax.  Therefore, a $1.00 item before FairTax will be $.96 under Fairtax with tax included, a four percent reduction in product and tax total.

The foreign imports now under our current tax at a $1.00 cost, will cost $1.23 under fairtax. This is not a form of excise on foreign  gods, but is making Free Trade, Fair Trade.

In just computing the FairTax implemented at the Federal level, that is a 27% decrease in USA manufacturing cost in comparison to foreign import costs.  How many manufacturing jobs will that bring back to USA?  How many jobs will Michigan and other States be able to gain, if they too implement the Michigan FairTax Plan?

If Michigan adopts MIFairTax, the cost of Michigan products will be reduced more by elimination of the 22% MBT, personal property tax and income tax. How much of an advantage would this give Michigan in job creation, if Michigan will but adopt the MIFairTAx.org plan which Former State Representative Fulton Sheen sponsored?  Call on conservative Democrats and Republicans, "put Michigan first, not your Party and it's bosses, Lobbyists."

Speaking of Lobbyists, how many Lobbyists will lose their job by not having to bribe Congressman for loopholes to protect their rich clients?

Incidently, all congressman, Federal and State, would change their allegance if we would change campaign finance law to wit:  'Only registered voters can contribute to any candidate's campaign.'
