Replace Janet Napolitano -- by Star Parker

Read Star Parker's weekly column
Dear Friend of CURE,

Here's Star Parker's weekly column in advance for next week because of the New Year. Hope you can take the time to read it and Happy New Year!

Replace Janet Napolitano

Obama has fired two GM CEOs for failure -- the same standard for performance should be demanded of someone responsible for America's security and American lives

A note from Star Parker
Star Parker, founder and president of CURE
Last March, our newly installed Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano explained, in an interview with German magazine Der Spiegel, her vision for fighting what was formerly known as terrorism.

By calling these now "man caused disasters", she explained, we'd "move away from the politics of fear toward a policy of being prepared for all risks that can occur."

"Our policies will be guided by authoritative information. We also have assets at our disposal now that we did not have prior to 9/11.  For example, we are much better able to keep track of travelers coming into the U.S. than we were before.  The third thing is to work with our international partners and allies to make sure that we are getting information and sharing information in an appropriate and real-time fashion."

Yikes.

Putting Ms. Napolitano in charge of a department of 200,000 people and a $50 billion budget with a stated mission to "lead the unified national effort to secure the country and preserve our freedoms" was a "man caused disaster."  And it is one that President Obama should fix – pronto.

His number one priority to restore credibility in his administration's ability to protect Americans from terrorism should be replacement of Napolitano.

Her blundering performance on Sunday talk shows following the failed Christmas day terrorist attempt to blow up an American plane showed clearly that this isn't whom we want responsible for the security of our homeland.

It's much more than her incredible observation that "the system worked."

Napolitano told CNN's Candy Crowley, "The traveling public is very, very safe in this air environment."

This despite answering every one of Crowley's probing questions with "I don't know."

Are there Al Qaida ties?  How could he have gotten past security and on the plane carrying an explosive?  How could he fly to the U.S. when his own father – a wealthy banker – briefed our embassy officials about what he saw his son up to?

Crowley, astonished, asked the Secretary how she could possibly be reassuring Americans that they are safe when she seemed to know nothing about what happened.

"….if it was properly screened and he got on anyway with that, it doesn't feel that safe."

Napolitano: "Well, you know it should."

The same morning on Meet the Press, David Gregory asked Napolitano if the amount of explosives the young man had was enough "to bring down the plane."
Her reply: "I think we're far from knowing that."  This two days after the incident.
Her own agenda and bias emerged in the interview with Gregory.  He asked if there were Al Qaida ties and she responded "Again, we don't know."

But in concluding, Gregory asked her if we should continue to view Al Qaida as a threat.

Referring, in her rambling response, to this latest incident, Napolitano noted "And while this case does not appear specifically connected there…"

The Obama team knows how to fire CEOs.

Since General Motors became a subsidiary of the U.S. government after getting bailed out with taxpayer funds, two CEOs have been forced out.  Their failure was not coming up with plans for selling Chevrolets, Buicks, and Cadillacs that pleased their government overseers.

Surely at least the same standard for performance should be demanded of someone responsible for America's security and American lives.

Barack Obama has led a charmed life.

The botched terrorist effort on Christmas was a gift to the 300 innocent passengers on that plane and a gift to America.

But it was also a potential political gift to Obama.  Americans rally around their President when we are threatened.  Making the right moves now could prove a political boon to him.

And the right move now is finding and installing a qualified Homeland Security Secretary.

Murtha Article in Washington Post| Replace him with Tim Burns

R. George Dunn endorse Tim Burns for 12th Dist Representative of PA

Dear R. George,

Today, Congressman Murtha is in the national spotlight again. The Washington Post published an article which points out that even though Murtha steers federal earmarks to his district at a rate of $100 million/year, his district is still economically distressed. The article goes on further to point out that even though some of his earmarks have generated jobs, half of the companies that have benefited from his earmarks are no longer in business and some of the jobs that have been created have been created at a cost of $2 million dollars per job!.

Even with billions of dollars in earmarks being brought to the district in the past decade, the area is still distressed and the unemployment rate has actually increased. Isn't it time we create a business friendly environment that can benefit all motivated entrepreneurs, not just ones with ties to powerful Congressmen? This is yet another example of what is wrong with Washington.

Looking Forward in 2010

This country has just survived a very difficult year. We survived a stock market crash, a severe recession, a falling dollar, and a disastrous presidency. The year is over, but our fight is not. In fact, this country is in a fight for its life. With these and other problems, there is much to be concerned about in 2010. But there is also much reason for hope. This year we saw millions of people across the nation participate in Tea Party protests. And we saw great Americans all over this country attend healthcare town hall meetings to confront and challenge their elected officials. We saw thousands of people descend on Washington at a moment's notice to make their voices heard in healthcare rallies this fall and winter. While it's true, Congress didn't listen, it is also true that the American public is now awake and ready for action!

I truly believe that the decisions we make in the next few years will determine the fate of this country. It is that serious. That is why it is so important that you do everything you can to help turn things around. The Congressional elections in 2010 are probably the most important elections of our lifetime. It is critical that we get the right people elected to Congress. And I'm not just talking about Republicans. I'm talking about good conservatives that believe in the Constitution of the United States; people that have a desire to protect our freedoms and our liberties.

That is why I have decided to run for Congress against John Murtha. I'm not a politician. I am a concerned American. I am doing everything I can to help ensure that our children can inherit a strong America. I hope you will do the same. If you believe as I do, that America is fighting for its survival, then please find candidates you can get behind and generously support them. Conservative candidates are this country's best hope for survival. And remember; don't limit yourself to only supporting candidates in your district. EVERY SEAT COUNTS! We need as many new conservative faces in Congress as possible, if we want to take back this country.

I have high hopes for this year. America is still the greatest country on earth. I know in my heart that it can and will remain that way – but it will take effort and it won't be easy. But nothing worthwhile is ever easy. Please join me in this fight. Working together, we can leave a wonderful legacy to our children – a free America.

Help get this country back on track by getting CONSERVATIVE candidates elected to congress. Make a secure online contribution of $50, $100, $250, or $1,000 today!

God Bless you and Happy New Year!!!

You can learn more about me, at my updated website:

Sincerely,

Candidate for Congress Pennsylvania's 12th Congressional District

Sam's American Dream - Undocumented or Illegal? |Whose at fault?

Sam's American Dream – Undocumented or Illegal?

December 29, 2009 by LD Jackson · Leave a Comment

As I am apt to do while driving, I was listening to NPR's news programming as I was heading home from work yesterday. All Things Considered and Morning Edition are programs I enjoy, as I feel they are usually fair and balanced in what they report and how they report it. They were playing a story from Long Haul Productions called American Dreamer, a story about a young illegal immigrant who came to this country when he was five years old with his parents.

As Sam's story unfolded, I learned he loved to play jazz music on his saxophone and if the pieces that were played throughout the story are any indication, he is quite good. The production did a good job at telling his story and how he came to live in America. He is very articulate and I give him kudos for that.

The main meat of the story was about Sam's effort to go to college and his struggle to find enough financial aid to pay his way. One segment had his father explaining how it was not Sam's fault that he was undocumented in this country, that he never said yes or no to the decision to come across the border. He was basically trying to convince the listeners that Sam should be given a break because he had no choice in the matter. This is in spite of the fact that the family came to this country on work visas and after they elapsed, stayed illegally.

As I listened to the story, one thing stuck out to me. Throughout the story, Sam and his family were consistently referred to as undocumented and never as what they really are; illegal immigrants in a country that allows legal immigration. As much as I enjoyed listening to Sam's story and as much as I wish things could be different for such a talented musician, should we feel sorry for him? I do not, so let me explain why.

The story started following Sam as he prepared to graduate from high school and find a college that would except him. It seemed to come as a great shock and surprise to him and his family when they discovered how difficult it was going to be. The main restriction on him was his undocumented status and that fact was bemoaned over and over. In his very articulate manner, Sam himself complained at how he had to find a job and because of his undocumented status, everything had to be under the table. He complained at how he could not legally drive back and forth to work or to college. He complained at how little financial aid was available to him because of his undocumented status.

What strikes me as odd is that Sam or his family never seemed to have a clue that his status would be a hindrance in his quest to go to college. It's as if it just dawned on them when he was asked to list his social security number on a financial aid form, a request with which he could not comply. Even the people around him, his .. full article

my Comment:  Whose at Fault?

Well said Larry.  This brings out the point of ugliness that has arisen from those who chose to ignore the Law of the Land on immigration, the Employers who exploited the illegal and the American workers.  The fault of Sam not having the same free lunch to education as citizens is not his being illegal, it is his being here to begin with.  Why did Sam's parents come to USA?

Back in the 1980s, President Reagan tried to stop the tide of illegal immigrants by putting punishment on employers for hiring illegal.  Everyone ignored this Law and the result, Sam is questioning why he is not privileged as his peers in school?  He wonders how this Nation can be so unfair?  The parents duct how they broke the Law and that their action carry over onto their children.  The greed of the do gooders who broke the Law has brought calamity to the Land in which they live.

Bottom line, a Federal Government, acting without authority, has laid the ground work of changing the borders of this Nation to include Mexico and Canada.  It is the elitists who are playing the nation building game to reflect the Euro attempt to nationalize Regions of the world, reducing the number of Sovereignties and for what purpose?  Look into the depths of the Copenhagen Climate Gate for that answer.  Just as the Nationalist within the Republican party have hidden their agenda so well, so have they hidden their agenda of ending the Constitution and have completely removed the Sovereignty of States.

All of that is now on the shoulders of Sam, who through no fault of his own, is caught up in a grand scheme of international Tyranny.  What should be done with him and all the many millions of illegal now here and under the table?  Or of the many illegal whose children and grandchildren are USA born citizens?  Heart wrenching, needing an answer, for if we continue with an open border, our fiscal health as a Nation will continue to collapse, leaving Sam with no where to play his Saxophone.

Close the borders and do as Governor Huckabee suggests.  Get all illegal to register by date certain and put them in line behind those who are legally trying to enter the USA.  Those who hide, deport.  With the number of children that have been murdered in the USA, over 50 million, the vacuum of illegal being deported will demand they be returned, those who are of a self supporting character.  Most will end up becoming citizens.  But if we continue down the road we are on, it won't be long before people in America will be leaving rather then the world trying to get here.

Fed floats way to drain money from economy - Stocks & economy- msnbc.com

There are times when the enemy media gets so complacent, they will say or reveal a truth which sheds light on another.  In the case of this article, we find the Feds thinking that when the economy gets humming, all the money the banks will get would be better served, buried.  So they say.  Who can believe them?

It might be that the Feds want to hold down the recovery from starting by siphoning off funds to recover with.  What?  How could I say such an thing?  Based on how the Fed. govt created the crisis and how they attempted to fix it by transfusing the head, when it is the feet dying.  How the Feds continue the draining of the American economy, weakening our station in the world, like they have a game plan to take over the world through this NWO.  A strong America stops this from happening.

Then again, it might all be coincidence, all of it?  Someone turn on the light and send these bugs into their darkness.  Transparency of the Federal Reserve may hurt in the beginning, but in the long run, America will once again be the beacon of liberty and freedom.  But let this nest of vipers continue and we will be the swamp for the would to languish over how now they have fallen to our demise, don't that make us feel better?  Sad to say, the majority of selfishness in the world has lost hope under the socialist regimes and once the USA is collapsed, their hope fades even more.

If we do not get the FairTax in place this year, recovery will continue to elude the USA and the depth from which we recover from starts to multiply greatly in a spiraling fall.

Twitter discussion on how to fix Michigan~George Lists Way

Had a Twitter discussion on what to do about Michigan, Lt. Gov. Cherry wanting to tax clean water, and the GOP knowing more taxes will chase even more jobs from our State.  The question seems to bring it right to point match.  Time to act is now, like never before is time so precious.

The Foundry~The Health Care Fight is Not Over

The Foundry

The Health Care Fight is Not Over

Although the left has been celebrating the passage of Obamacare in the Senate as further evidence that the President's health care reform initiative is a done deal the health care reform fight is not over. The truth is that this bill can not yet be transmitted to the President until very different versions of Obamacare are reconciled. The House and Senate must agree on what to send to the President for his signature before this fight is over.

There are key differences between the House and Senate approaches to Obamacare as explained by Nina Owcharenko and Robert E. Moffit, Ph.D. in a paper published by the Heritage Foundation lists 6 key differences between the two bills. Procedurally, the House passed a version of Obamacare with a public option, an income surtax and with strong language forbidding the use of federal monies to fund abortion. The Senate chose not to take up the House bill and passed a version of Obamacare with no public option, taxes on expensive health care plans and with weak language forbidding the use of federal funds for abortion. Sens. Jim DeMint (R-SC) and Mitch McConnell (R-KY) have since blocked the appointment of conferees to reconcile the differing versions of Obamacare. The options liberals have to get the bill to the President's desk are therefore limited.

The Senate refused to take up the House bill and many claimed that the House bill was dead on arrival in the Senate. Presumably the Senate bill can't pass the House, because of the more liberal abortion language, the radically different tax provisions and the lack of a public option. That leaves a so called "ping-pong" strategy where the House can either take up and pass the Senate version of Obamacare or they can take up the Senate bill, amend it, then send it back to the Senate. The Senate would then have the same option: take up and pass or amend and send back to the House. This ping-pong between chambers can happen a few times before the issue loses steam or the bill gets sent back and forth too many times to comply with the rules of the House and Senate... full article

My Comment:

Time changes a lot of power base deals.  By the time the objected conferee ping pong efforts are completed, the people will have their spittle's red hot and ready to use.
Then there is the rule change in the HCR caught by Senator Jim DeMint, that by Senate Rule calls for a 67 vote total to pass the Resolution.  That was not honored and is subject to U. S. District Court proceedings, thus moving the timeline down the road again.

There are now at least ten State AG's adding their name to a list of inquiry of the Constitutional premise of the HCR, in several facts of inquiry.  This is a paramount move by States to challenge the unconstitutional conduct of DC. Don't know if it has been done before but in the burning camp fires of the Patriots this is a resounding Hoorahhh~ States are waking up to their Sovereignty out of necessity.

Their are Caucus and other groups forming strategy to bring the HCR to Court.  The groundswell continues as the facts of the HCR fly out over hyperspace, the only place of Truth to be found and it is waking up the masses on both sides of the isle.

The best cure for more affordability is to have States' mandate consumer directed health plans, HSAs.

If you add to that plan an IRA, it will empower the individual to be competitive, will provide a much lower Health plan cost by the young people contributing.  They too will get old one day.  Or states can go the capitalist route and demand you find a job to pay for your own plan.  That will entail the changing of the Tax structure so we can get jobs back to the USA, namely implementing the FairTax Plan.

Then there is Scott Brown, whose running in the race in MA to replace Ted Kennedy.  His ground swell went National on Sunday 12/27th and Patriots everywhere are joining up on the evident confidence that if State Senator Brown is elected, that would give the GOP a 41 vote filibuster proof. http://bit.ly/7SM0XA

My constant wonder is how cuffed the Inspector Generals are.  The first one to hit the fan, fired for doing his job, has left the news silent on Inspectors and all the corruption in the hyperspace, proof positive, and nothing is done. Maybe the States need to form their own watch dog AG.

Who know if the Stimulus money is not being used, and just not reported?  With that kind of funding, one could mastermind quite a plan of evil powermongering.

It is time to get the GOP on the stick and have them repent of their unconstitutional conduct, take classes on the Constitution and make it required reading for every American, classrooms most of all.

Heritage Foundation~Immigration Reform Bill Undermines Enforcement|Send terrorists to Military Trial

Heritage Foundation

Immigration Reform Bill Undermines Enforcement

On December 15, Representative Luis Gutierrez of Illinois introduced his version of Comprehensive Immigration Reform to the House of Representatives. Amongst its many provisions, the bill would eliminate the successful 287(g) immigration enforcement program in which local law enforcement are trained and deputized by Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to carry out federal immigration law.

Yet, Gutierrez's bill is not the only blow made against 287(g) this year. Following an early 2009 GAO report that resulted in claims of racial profiling and a lack oversight and direction within 287(g), the Obama administration announced changes to the Memorandums of Agreement (MOAs) that are signed by participating agencies. Law enforcement must now pursue the criminal charges for which an illegal alien is arrested rather than simply initiating removal, and are to limit immigration status checks to only those arrested for "major" offenses. These changes were a strike against the very heart of the program..full article

The failure of the Federal Government to enforce the National Borders will lead to putting up check points on all of the State Border entry points to eliminate illegals.

"To Form A More Perfect Union" by Chief Justice John G. Roberts,Jr speaks loudly for the continued need of unity amongst the States.  With the Federal Government ignoring their mandated responsibility and their continued invasion of State Sovereignty, the inevitable will happen.

Without secure borders, the fiscal future of the USA is in great peril.  The forced alliance with border Nations is the highest form of treason to the Constitution.  Only if Mexico and Canada breaks into Sovereign States and chose to become sovereign States of the USA under the Constitution, would such a melding be right.  Of course with the tyranny of D.C., who would want that, I don't?

The Impact of the Tea Parties - Pat Cadell, Political Analyst - Excellent!

The Impact of the Tea Parties - Pat Cadell, Political Analyst:                                        - Excellent!

Great analysis of the Tea Party Movement from noted political strategist, former writer from The West Wing, Pat Cadell. He mentions that Chris Dodd, an old buddy of his, has his political days numbered. Says the press just ignores the corruption in Washington. Cadell is concerned about the reaction of the MSM and the government, and is impressed at the efficacy of the Internet.  Says the Republicans may pick up seats in the election of 2010 because Tea Partiers want to throw a monkey wrench into the machinery of government (shrewd insight).  At the same time he criticizes Republicans amongst others for allowing the bailouts and the bonuses after not even reading the bill!

Cadell rambles in rapid fire, attacking both the government and the mainstream media.

The MSM minus FOX asked about the Tea Parties: "Who are these yahoos?"

MSM about the Tea Parties:  "This notion ... that they were ...Republican robots... These were basically local people doing local organization. And the issue driving is not taxes; it's spending! " (Bob MacGuffie finally exonerated...)

Catch these remarks:  "These things should have been a warning." "We're heading for I think a different kind of politics." "The Democrats are on the verge of falling off a cliff. They have no clue it's coming."

About the Tea Partiers:  "These people who are willing to have a peaceful protest to be heard; they're the people standing between Washington and the pitchforks. You marginalize them and you'll get a whole different kind of reaction... This is a moment of truth here. And it was beyond belief..."

Part of why our taxes are so high

Someone has to report this outrageous conduct. The news media spends to much time on Tiger and not enough time on import subjects as stated below.

Somebody spent a lot of time putting this together..... .
Pretty good summary of what is known - how much more is hidden?

$34,000:

The amount of federal taxes that Secretary of the Treasury
Timothy Geithner
 (D) failed to pay during his employment at
the International Monetary Fund despite receiving extra
compensation and explanatory brochures that described his
tax liabilities.

True:  http://www.cleveland.com/nation/index.ssf/2009/01/timothy_geithner_obamas_nomine.html

$75,000:

The amount of money that the  head of the  powerful
tax-writing committee,
 Rep. Charlie Rangel (D-NY), was
forced to report  on his taxes after the discovery that he
had not reported income from a   Dominican Republic rental
property. His excuses for the failure started with blaming
his wife, then his accountant and finally the fact that he
didn't speak Spanish.

True http://www.nypost.com/seven/09102008/news/regionalnews/rangels_spanish_excuse_128444.htm

$93,000:

The  INCREASE in the amount of petty cash each of our
Congressional representatives
 voted to give themselves in
January 2009 during the height of an economic meltdown.
That's a $40 + million INCREASE!

http://gatewaypundit.blogspot.com/2009/01/its-recession-congress-gives-lawmakers.html  See video here from Fox

$133,900:

The amount Fannie Mae "invested" in Chris Dodd (D-CT), head
of the powerful Senate Banking Committee, presumably to
repel oversight of the GSE prior to its meltdown. Said
meltdown helped touch off the  current economic crisis. In
only a few years time, Fannie also "invested" over
 $105,000
in then-Senator Barack Obama.

True:  http://www.opensecrets.org/news/2008/07/top-senate-recipients-of-fanni.html

$140,000:

The amount of back taxes and interest that Cabinet nominee
Tom Daschle (D) was forced to cough up after the vetting
process revealed significant, unexplained tax liabilities.

True:  http://online.wsj.com/article/SB123335984751235247.html?mod=googlenews_wsj   Wall Street Journal

$356,000:

The approximate amount of income and deductions that
Daschle (D)
was forced to report on his amended 2005 and
2007 tax returns after being caught cheating on his taxes.
This includes $255,256 for the use of a car service,
$83,333 in unreported income, and $14,963 in charitable
contributions.

$800,000:

The amount of "sweetheart" mortgages Senate Banking
Chairman Chris Dodd (D-CT)
 received from Countrywide
Financial, the details for which he has refused to release
details despite months of promises  to do so. Countrywide
was once the nation's largest mortgage lender and linked
to  Government-Sponsored Entities like Fannie Mae and
Freddie Mac. Their meltdown precipitated the current
financial crisis. Just days ago in  Pennsylvania ,
Countrywide was forced to pay $150,000,000 in mortgage
assistance following "a state investigation that concluded
that Countrywide relaxed its underwriting standards to
sell risky loans to consumers who did not understand them
and could not afford them."

$1,000,000:

The  estimated amount of donations by Denise Rich, wife of
fugitive Marc Rich, to Democrat interests and the William
