EXCELLENT ARTICLE.  NEVER EVER WOULD I HAVE THOUGHT THIS WOULD COME OUT OF ASPEN ,
http://www/.aspentimes .com/article/20100228/ASPENWEEKLY/100229854/

Barack Obama has awakened a sleeping nation
Gary Hubbell
Aspen Times Weekly          February 2010

Barack Obama is the best thing that has happened to America in the last 100 years. Truly, he is the savior of America 's future.
Despite the fact that he has some of the lowest approval ratings among recent presidents, history will see Barack Obama as the source of America 's resurrection. Barack Obama has plunged the country into levels of debt that we could not have previously imagined; his efforts to nationalize health care have been met with fierce resistance nationwide; TARP bailouts and stimulus spending have shown little positive effect on the national economy; unemployment is unacceptably high and looks to remain that way for most of a decade; legacy entitlement programs have ballooned to unsustainable levels, and there is a seething anger in the populace.

That's why Barack Obama is such a good thing for America . Here's why.
Obama is the symbol of a creeping liberalism that has infected our society like a cancer for the last 100 years. Just as Hitler is the face of fascism, Obama will go down in history as the face of unchecked liberalism. The cancer metastasized to the point where it could no longer be ignored.
Average Americans who have quietly gone about their lives, earning a paycheck, contributing to their favorite charities, going to high school football games on Friday night, spending their weekends at the beach or on hunting trips - they've gotten off the fence. They've woken up. There is a level of political activism in this country that we haven't seen since the American Revolution, and Barack Obama has been the catalyst that has sparked a restructuring of the American political and social consciousness.
Think of the crap we've slowly learned to tolerate over the past 50 years as liberalism sought to re-structure the America that was the symbol of freedom and liberty to all the people of the world. Immigration laws were ignored on the basis of compassion. Welfare policies encouraged irresponsibility, the fracturing of families, and a cycle of generations of dependency. Debt was regarded as a tonic to lubricate the economy. Our children left school having been taught that they are exceptional and special, while great numbers of them cannot perform basic functions of mathematics and literacy. Legislators decided that people could not be trusted to defend their own homes, and stripped citizens of their rights to own firearms. Productive members of society have been penalized with a heavy burden of taxes in order to support legions of do-nothings who loll around, reveling in their addictions, obesity, indolence, ignorance and "disabilities." Criminals have been arrested and re-arrested, coddled and set free to pillage the citizenry yet again. Lawyers routinely extort fortunes from doctors, contractors and business people with dubious torts.
We slowly learned to tolerate these outrages, shaking our heads in disbelief, and we went on with our lives.
But Barack Obama has ripped the lid off a seething cauldron of dissatisfaction and unrest.
A former Communist is given a paid government position in the White House as an advisor to the president. Auto companies are taken over by the government, and the auto workers' union - whose contracts are completely insupportable in any economic sense - is rewarded with a stake in the company. Government bails out Wall Street investment bankers and insurance companies, who pay their executives outrageous bonuses as thanks for the public support. Terrorists are read their Miranda rights and given free lawyers. And, despite overwhelming public disapproval, Barack Obama has pushed forward with a health care plan that would re-structure one-sixth of the American economy.
Literally millions of Americans have had enough. They're organizing, they're studying the Constitution and the Federalist Papers, they're reading history and case law, they're showing up at rallies and meetings, and a slew of conservative candidates are throwing their hats into the ring. Is there a revolution brewing? Yes, in the sense that there is a keen awareness that our priorities and sensibilities must be radically re-structured. Will it be a violent revolution? No. It will be done through the interpretation of the original document that has guided us for 220 "
FANTASTIC" years--- the Constitution. Just as the pendulum swung to embrace political correctness and liberalism, there will be a backlash, a complete repudiation of a hundred years of nonsense. A hundred years from now, history will perceive the year 2010 as the time when America got back on the right track. And for that, we can thank Barack Hussein Obama.

My Comment of Article- 'A Future Consumption Tax to Fix Today’s Economy'~Alan Krueger -NYTimes

A Future Consumption Tax to Fix Today's Economy

Alan B. Krueger is an economics professor at Princeton.
Any casual observer knows the United States faces enormous economic challenges in both the short and long run. These challenges — and the respective solutions that are being discussed — are somewhat in conflict, though. ...  http://economix.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/01/12/a-future-consumption-tax-to-fix-todays-economy/

***
my comment:
Consumption tax is the change we need in our tax structure. But we cannot trust DC with both that and keeping the IRS code.  Why not be bold and go to FairTax House Resolution 25 and Senate Resolution 13? Get rid of the IRS totally as this arcane tax embeds all federal tax in the price of domestic product making it impossible for USA Industry to compete with imports, thus the reason we have gotten tot eh end of our fiscal rope after 30 years of jobs lost overseas due to Reagan implementing free trade policy while also implementing a flat tax plan that kept the IRS.
The current IRS tax code is regressive and to add a consumption tax on top would be devastating, as today, the poor have to pay for hidden taxes in even bread, about 22% of the cost. FairTax removes all these embedded taxes and makes all spending up to the ceiling level of the poverty wage non-taxes for every Citizen, rich or poor, via the Prebate.
I agree a consumption tax is what the USA needs, but we need one that ends the lobby graft of selling over 1,200 amendments for the rich since Reagan placed in the current flat tax, which to go to another flat tax is but hitting the recycle button for this graft.  Go to www.FairTax.org and find more answers and charts to what FairTax will do for you.
The greatest value of FairTax is more jobs then workers, thus a healthy economy if we can end the unconstitutional spending and controls of the Federal Government, like, stopping the Federal Reserve from maintaining an at least 5% unemployment pool of workers, thus not allowing for inflation to be caused by workers wages. That is what makes a healthy economy, one that cycles with or without such control. WAKE UP!!!

#RGA #MIGOP, Safety Net is the last thing that should be corrected in our Constitutional Crisis. Why the reprobate mindset America?

With our Nation on the edge of economic collapse, the logical path would be to challenge that which is causing the lack of employment and security to we the people, rather then to protect and leave unchallenged the Statist quo. Yet in Michigan we find the State Government doing the former.

As Michigan and all States are facing the onslaught of the purging of State wealth of it's Citizens by the ever growing Federal Government, their thinking is to cut off those who need the support of their Government the most, the very poor. If we were in times of economic prosperity, such a move would be seen as wise.  However, by demanding that Citizens only partake of welfare assistance for no longer then four years, those who have faced the lack of employment of sustaining income are now put out onto the Streets to fend for self, with no prospect of employment even on the horizon. This Article provides the details of what Michigan Governor Snyder is expected to sign, passed by the State Legislature:

In just a quick read of the U.S. Constitution, one can determine how the Federal Government has encroached on the States Sovereignty and has made the States' unable to provide guidance and protection from financial woes of their Citizens. Rather then center on the State budget in Michigan by standing up tot he Federal Government coupe, their answer is to cut it's citizens safety net to protect their personal fiscal foundation of Government bureaucracy. Looking through the lens of the poor, the continued waste of Government spending is rudely apparent.

It is not as though they are not aware of our fiscal plight and to why it is happening.  When Ohio Governor was asked about his State's Sovereignty being deposed, the answer was to demand the right to spend the pittance from the federal Government as the State wished rather then by micro-managed decree.  This mindset of State welfare from the Federal Government returning funded unconstitutionally taxed for purposes not Constitutionally allowed does not even enter into the conversation. Top of this reprobate mind is how States' industry has been taxed out of the USA by the introduction of Free Trade thirty years ago while keeping the closed trade tax structure policy for the continued coupe of the Federal Government control over all production.  Read more on this here:

With USA Industry to the end of it's rope of being distributed to the World, it would seem that the States', including Michigan would be clamoring to get back their Powers to control and protect their States. Why do the Leaders of the States continue to put their heads in the Sand hoping the economy will return as it always does, when it is very evident that the continued deficit spending by the Federal Government has brought us to the edge of disaster? Even during the good years of economic cycle, our Federal Government deficit spending has increased at least 200 billion dollars every year since we opened our borders to trade.  What is the motivation of Governments to continue down this road of despair?  Why?

Citizens, how long before you too are put out on the Streets without the hope of employment with such reprobate leadership in State and Federal Government?  Stand up now and insist on change to our Federal conduct and the change of the Federal tax structure to a consumption tax, ending all the current IRS tax code structure, rather then the throwing of the unemployed to soup lines that are already stretched. Is y9our liberty and freedom of no value? Are you willing for your future to depend on your neighbor, if your neighbor is also without employment?

FairTax and Constitutional conduct, PLEASE!!! Cut social programs after you fix the cause.  The safety net is the last thing that should be corrected in our Constitutional Crisis.

Forbes article attempt's to discredit FairTax to keep their corrupt IRS Tax Code & for what purpose, lobby graft to protect the Rich?

my comment:

This article counters all studies of FairTax done.  According to Doctor David Tuerck, FairTax will benefit the bottom 90% of income households, not cost. Even in the middle of the article, the writer indicates how the poor will actually benefit from FairTax:  "It would end up exempting a lot of low-income households from tax—recreating exactly the problem Perry and others complain about"

Another flaw is making the assumption, as if a rich person writing this article to hide the fact, that today the rich do not pay taxes per say.  Congress has amended the last flat tax we got from President Reagan, who signed that flat tax in to counter the effect of a free trade policy with an closed border tax structure in place. Congress has amended the IRS tax code over 1,200 times, selling their soul to the devil in the process and now want to hit the reset button of another flat tax to do it all over again?

Also, rich people don't have incomes.  Their wealth comes from many other avenues and one that has drained the USA of wealth is off shore investments and savings.

The poor and middle income will benefit the most as their plight has much to do with no good paying jobs.  By not taxing production, jobs will flood back tot he USA and all those jobs we lost over the past 30 years under the last flat tax will come back.  There will be more jobs then workers, which will promote inflation caused by wages, something not allowed since the 1913 Federal reserve started controlling Loan interest to keep unemployment at 5% or higher, thus providing an over abundance of employees.

The other factor and most important, today, all federal taxes are being placed, embedded in domestic product prices to pay for them by the employer. By switching to a consumption tax, we take those out lowering product cost and with the prebate and workers keeping their gross paychecks, the adding of 23% of that embedded tax price, it is a near wash in cost to Citizens. The 30% exclusive tax is what brings the price back to the same cost of before deducting the 23% embedded tax, providing a neutral level of tax revenue to the Federal Government.

Those in the Federal Government are not dumb and have known that we lost our industry over the past 30 years due to our closed border tax structure.  Why are they now wanting to protect this insanity? The only truth that comes to light is to protect their power over our property for the purpose of giving the lobby system plenty of graft. Is that right Steve Forbes?  I heard you once start to slip and open to this truth.  What happened?  Why did Jeb Bush say that implementing FairTax would be fantastic, but DC would never pass it?  To me, it is near treasonous to hide this truth.

by changing the rules of presidential elections via a compact between as few as 11 states instead

of the normal 38 states needed to amend the Constitution; and,

WHEREAS, under the "National Popular Vote Interstate Compact," if successfully implements

Florida GOP: Bachmann's decision to skip straw poll a 'bad move'
By Amanda Carey
The Daily Caller

Rep. Michele Bachmann's meteoric rise to front-runner status in the Republican presidential hunt will not take her to the Presidency 5 Straw Poll event in Florida in September. Though Bachmann will participate in a Fox News debate just days earlier, the decision to skip the Sunshine State's straw poll has Floridians scratching their heads.

Florida-based media consultant Rick Wilson told The Daily Caller, "If you're ready for prime-time, you'll be at Presidency 5. If not, well, good luck with that whole regional campaign thing."

Being a tea party member is no cup of tea.

According to a recent New York Times/CBS survey, tea party members are less popular than atheists, Muslims, Republicans, Democrats, and 21 other groups. The movement has lost 20 percent of its supporters and gained 40 percent more opponents, according to the poll. Another NYT/CBS poll published earlier this month revealed that the tea party's unfavorable rating had increased 29 percent since April.

Christine O'Donnell Walks Off Piers Morgan Interview
By Nellie Andreeva
Deadline

In a bizarre incident, former Delaware GOP Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell today walked out of the taping of an interview for CNN's Piers Morgan Tonight, which is set to air tonight. The tipping point was Morgan's question about her stance on gay marriage. (By that point, he had already quizzed her on witchcraft and sex with the tension between the two visibly escalating, especially when Morgan repeatedly asked O'Donnell to address old comments about masturbation she had made in an 1990s MTV documentary special.) "You're being a little rude," she told him several times before asking her handlers "Are we done?" and taking off her microphone. But not before schooling Morgan on conducting interviews: "Don't you think as a host if I say 'This what I wanna talk about', that's what we should address?" O'Donnell was on the show promoting her book Troublemaker. "My first ever walk-out in 25 years of interviews," Morgan wrote on Twitter. "I guess viewers can decide if I was 'rude' or not tonight." Here is the video, judge for yourselves. UPDATE: After airing the unfinished interview on his show tonight, Morgan invited O'Donnell to return tomorrow and promised not to be rude.

Raising tax or cutting spending is too late to fix our Fiscal crisis, only changing tax structure can get us jobs now

The foundational purpose of switching to a consumption tax verses the production tax or labor tax which is taken directly from the worker without even owning it, is to get jobs. When the employer pays the federal taxes, he has to recoup those taxes by placing the cost of the Federal tax into the price of the domestic product.  We are handicapping our own industry in America by using the old closed border tax we had when Reagan gave us Free trade.  What has happened since then?  We have lost industry, watching it be distributed to the world.  We should have switched to an open border tax structure, like FairTax, 30 years ago.  Incidental, FairTax came about at that time and has been tweaked for 30 years and has had 20 million dollars spent on it vetting its worth.

We want Jobs? Getting more of the same song and dance from the coupe Federal Government is not the answer.  Under Reagan congress gave us a flat tax to help stimulate the economy.   What it stimulated and the current flat tax proposed will do also, is it gave congress the ability to sell graft tax wavers at the tune of over 1,200 amendments to the IRS tax code.  The current new flat tax is what is known as the reset button, to recycle all that corruption to fill Congressman campaign funds.  They don't want you, the Citizen to benefit from a tax structure change, but to keep their evil ways of greed. Demand we go to the FairTax and bring back sanity in the Congress, as they will suddenly have we the people to cater too, rather then a slew of lobbyists with nothing to present as bribes.

Alexander Hamilton stated that the least burdensome tax structure is the sales tax as if you cannot afford to pay it, you don't have to.  The charts show that the 90% of the people will benefit from this new FairTax plan.  Those who are criminals or illegals, under the table will suddenly have to pay their fair share. That is how 90% benefit from a tax neutral change in tax reform.  We need our industry jobs back and fairtax will bring an approximate 15% price advantage to domestic made in the USA products over imports. The Steel industry touts that it only takes a 10% advantage to put them back to work.

Don't let the communist Marxist progressive income tax fool you into thinking it is your friend.  Most rich people do not pay taxes as they have either bribed congress for a waver, taken their money off shore to hide it and most importantly, most do not make incomes.  Wealth is not taxes, unless you tax their spending.  Also, if you just seen the 60 minutes show on corporations hiding their wealth off shore to avoid taxes.  Remember, they took our industry offshore for the very same reason, to avoid federal taxes by importing the very product we used to make. We are to the end of this rope and no raising of taxes or cutting of spending can save us from what is coming.  Only changing the tax structure to a consumption tax will do so.

Step back & take a look at where we are, to find the USA Cures #tcot #sgp #p2 #gop #dems #FairTax

Here is an International Planned Parenthood Federation advertisement, circa 1967 "The federation believes that the knowledge of planned parenthood is a fundamental right, and that the balance...

Frantz Emmanuel Kebreau has provided an example of how our Federal Government has violated Constitutional Conduct & needs Retraining Camps set up to teach the Nationalist the Constitution.  It would help to read the Federalist Papers and realize the 50 States are Sovereign, by the Law of the Land. It would help if the States would act accordingly. http://www.frantzkebreau.com/3/post/2011/08/what-is-your-life-worth-to-planned-parenthood.html

This Land is our Land and the Constitution says~ 'The federal Government cannot own any land without the permission of the State who does'; that includes minerals. When the Federal Government votes to make a Territory a State, ownership of the Land is, by Constitutional Decree, also transferred to the State.

Any State paying the Federal Government rent is aiding and abetting the current Federal Government Coupe.

Time to join the Teaparty States.

International Planned Parenthood Federation? Eugenics? Place all non-entitlement unconstitutional spending on a 10% expenditure cut from previous year, every year until gone. Entitlements transition well into private owned HSA/IRAs, locally invested and State mandated(or not).

In a Free Trade society, the least amount of expense in a the product price provides the greatest competition for employment. Our IRS Tax Code adds to the expense of our domestic product, making goods cost about 22% more, in detailed proof at www.FairTax.org . By changing to an open market tax structure, consumption tax, the USA, We, are expected to experience a 10% GDP growth after the first year implemented and for years to come. Liberty comes from having the power to pay your taxes, or not, based on your ability to afford to buy something or control something. Under FairTax, no purchases are taxed up to the maximum level of poverty established by pre-paying Citizens with prebate checks.

Without the Prebate, the consumption tax needed to replace the Federal taxes in our product would be 19% inclusive.  With the prebate, the amount of the untaxed purchases spend across the yearly average of Gross national Product(GDP) is 4% inclusive. This is a form of Progressiveness, but it has a finite characteristic and equal to all. By enacting the FairTax, the hidden tax in food, even bread is removed and made tax free in reality by the prebate.  Those in poverty will benefit, not just from the excise IRS tax in food, but will gain by the flood of jobs that come from the competitive prices American Industry will have by taking the Federal taxes out of the price. JOBS JOBS JOBS!!!

Here is  a question:  If the compliance cost for the IRS tax code is 30 cents on every Federal tax revenue collected, would not ending the IRS delete near all, making for another expense taken out of the price of product at about 30% of the 22% imbedded tax cost, equaling a little over 7%. Since workers get to keep the income from ending the IRS taxes, including entitlements, it is calculated that the amount of the 22% is not all coming out of the price of the product, because workers are taking home one huge cashflow change. The figure calculated is 12% product cost coming out. If we add 7% to the 12%, we see a 19% advantage in price of domestic product, creating a near neutral exchange in how much we pay.

It has calculated that 90% of the USA Citizenship comes out ahead under FairTax. Those under the table and the wealthy will finally kick in.  Check out how this tweet I sent went:

Labor Fight Goes Postal as Unions Rip USPS Cost-Cutting Plan to Slash Jobs, Revamp Benefits

Read more: http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2011/08/12/postal-unions-rip-cost-cutting-plan-to-slash-120000-jobs/#ixzz1UrJ5KEKd

...Postal officials have said they will be unable to make a $5.5 billion payment to cover future employee health care costs due Sept. 30. It is the only federal agency required to make such a payment but, because of the complex way government finances are counted, eliminating it would make the federal budget deficit appear $5.5 billion larger.

If Congress doesn't act and current losses continue, the post office will be unable to make that payment at the end of September because it will have reached its borrowing limit and simply won't have the cash to do so, the agency said earlier.

In that event, Postmaster General Patrick Donahoe said, "Our intent is to continue to deliver the mail, pay our employees and pay our suppliers."

Postal officials have sought congressional assistance repeatedly over the last few years, including requests to be allowed to end Saturday mail delivery, and several bills have been proposed, but none has been acted on.

In addition, the post office recently said it is considering closing 3,653 post offices, stations and other facilities, about one-10th of its offices around the country, in an effort to save money. Offices under consideration for closing are largely rural with little traffic.

And in June, the post office suspended contributions to its employees' pension fund, which it said was overfunded.

In its 2010 annual report the post office reported a loss of more than $8 billion on revenues of $67 billion and expenses of $75 billion.

And even while total mail volume fell from 202 billion items to 170 billion from 2008 to 2010, the number of places the agency has to deliver mail increased by 1.7 million as Americans built new homes, offices and businesses.

The latest cutback plans were first reported by The Washington Post, which said a notice to employees informing them of its proposals stated: "Financial crisis calls for significant actions, we will be insolvent next month due to significant declines in mail volume and retiree health benefit prefunding costs imposed by Congress."

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

my comment:

Having worked over 30 Years for the USPS, my humble opinion of cutting Saturday delivery will not save the Postal Service much in revenue, if at all. The volume of mail handles will be rolled into the workload of the full time workers form the substitute carriers and mailhandlers. This increase in volume will cause many routes sitting on the edge of being split off to reduce size; will suddenly do so, making for an drastic increase in workers in full time status, with benefits.

The closing of the offices within a 5 mile radius into one office has been a need since Henry Ford built the first car. Pride of having the Post office was high back before the reform in the 1970's, with Post Masters appointed by Township/City Supervisors. Now, pride is in having a zip code for your own community, hardly a reason for the fiscal waste. The Postal Service has done their homework on closing, and is ready to do it. All Congress needs to do is, start eating at problems one bit at a time, not waiting for volumes of a resolution to move forward.

The Pre-paying of the Retiree healthcare fund was a shift by Congress under the Bush Administration to help with the Federal Budget, shifting it onto stamps. The concept of Mail delivery is not yet out of order, as many still depend on the Postal Service as Benjamin Franklin designed it for, universal service.

There is one concept that I shun to share, but it is a fact, the Postal Service would break even if they paid customers $100.00 per year to use the P.O. Box Section, as that is the average cost of delivering to one residence. Why I shun the thought, the energy wasted to retrieve mail.

National Popular Vote FUTURE NEWS: "Dateline Lansing, MI, Nov 9, 2012 - Voters in Michigan

John Crawford
FUTURE NEWS: "Dateline Lansing, MI, Nov 9, 2012 - Voters in Michigan, after struggling for 12 years to turn the state around mired in a deep single state recession, cast 52.9% of their 3, 815,233 votes for the Republican nominee for U.S. President, Mitt Romney, on Tuesday. Romney's celebration in the State appears to be short-lived, however:
"The campaign was a long and hard-fought battle for Michigan's 16 Electoral votes. It is estimated that both major campaigns spent over $27.4 Million in Michigan. President Obama carried Michigan in 2008 with 56.9% of Michigan's vote.

"How
ever, because of a special side-deal agreement that the Michigan Legislature entered into in late 2011 with 15 other States, the Legislature will be casting all 16 of Michigan's Electoral votes to re-elect Barack Obama, setting aside the State Popular Vote in Michigan(see below). Nationally, Obama received 50.8% of the popular vote. The agreement, or "Compact", requires Michigan to cast all of its votes according to the NATIONAL Popular Vote and to ignore its own STATE Popular vote.

"Major metropolitan areas in Los Angeles, Detroit, Las vegas, New York (Manhattan) and Seattle are reporting record-level voter turnouts this election, all above 95%. Lawsuits have been filed in 13 States, so far since Tuesday, demanding recounts because of the closeness of the election results and the abnormally high voter turnout."
THE GENIUS OF the Electoral College is that it turns the 50 States into the equivalent of 50 watertight compartments on an ocean liner: a problem in one compartment can be isolated and then fixed, before the whole thing sinks.

Wisconsin FFC Victory Update

In other news, voters across the Badger State went to the polls in the historic Wisconsin recall elections to elect candidates that stand for and support conservative values. Faith & Freedom members played a big role in helping to educate voters and lead them to the polls.

Wisconsin Faith & Freedom President, Tony Nasvik worked to coordinate Get Out The Vote efforts in key senate districts where he helped to organize successful volunteer door knocking, volunteer phone calling, and mail programs that lead to the elections of candidates that share our common sense conservative values.

Thank you for supporting the Faith & Freedom Coalition in our mission to restore America's greatness and founding principles.

Regards,

Gary Marx
Executive Director

Why would anyone want to leave federal taxes hidden in the price of domestic products? FairTax pls #tcot #sgp #dems #p2 #gop

Why would anyone want to leave federal taxes hidden in the price of domestic products, put there by the employer to recoupe the taxes paid by him and employees. We don't have any jobs, are heading for the eternal soup line and your worried about cheaters?

Most spending is done in markets, like grocery stores and malls. Stores will not gamble their worth in cheating. Certainly the landord will not report his rental property as he doesn't today.

But the benefit of FairTax will help America see the truth of what DC is stealing from us and help us get back to constitutional spending. With all the jobs and tax revenue that FairTax will birng in, we will be able to eventuallbring the FairTax down to single digit numbers, since 90% of the spending Federally today is unconstitutional.

FairTax is tax structure change which is neutral in tax revenue change to Fed Govt. GDP is expected to grow by 10% in first yr.

FairTax is tax structure change which is neutral in tax revenue change to Federal Government. Inclusive 22% current hidden fed. tax is replaced by 23% inclusive or 30% of price lowered by current federal tax removed from product, less the gross paycheck amount workers get, plus the prebate which is 4% of the 23% tax. making for a gain in cashflow for those of high middle income and less. Not a lie, truth in full view. Taxes no longer hidden in product equals JOBS!!! And reality of how much the Federal government has been taking is now printed out in the sales receipt.

If a widget costs a dollar today, 22% average of that price is federal tax included in the price by the employer recouping this expense. That brings the price down to $.78 . To get the 22% of tax back, sales tax has to be 30% of $.78 = $.234 in tax.

Remember that 4% of the 23% is prebate, not to be confused with current tax, but it is a removal of federal taxes on the first dollars spent on essentials. Thus the inclusive tax of 23% or sales tax of 30% is less then the present day 22% inclusive tax in domestic product, meaning it is 19% inclusive sales tax under fairtax. How is it that we can collect less % then we do from business and employees wages? All those under the table, illegals, rich with congress tax wavers bought by graft, wealth not now taxes, will be paying their fair share.

Also, the FairTax is not the instrument for reducing spending by the Federal Government, the Constitution is the tool for that.  FairTax is our fiscal tool to fix our economy so we can survive and afford our transition back top the Constitution, to the liberty and freedom of prosper.

When it comes to Federal spending, What we have learned in 2064 years

What have we learned in 2,064 years

"The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled,

public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be

tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should

be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt. People must again learn to

work,  instead of living on public assistance."

                                                                -  Cicero    - 55 BC

         So, evidently nothing.

Now that we the people have the attention of DC on Federal spending, are we sure they think as we do and mean the same as we do in cutting spending?  This comment by John Crawford of Michigan speaks to how they are approaching the cuts in spending now (8/2/2011 debt extension), while passing off true cuts to future Congress:

John Crawford
You and your family are living paycheck to paycheck on your salary and after 15 years of marriage, you have been able to save a whopping $713.22 in a savings account and you have $4,988.43 in an IRA. You make about $49,000 per year and you... have about $48,000 in bank and credit card debt. And your car is on its last legs.

You decide that you need a new car. The car that you want and would look really good in is a new BMW 760 Li. So you and your wife take one out for a test drive and you mentally park that Beemer in your garage. The one issue that you pause over is that the BMW 760 Li will cost you $107,412.28 - IF you paid cash for it; MORE if you finance it.

You go home and think about. The next day, you decide to be smart and go out and by a brand new Dodge Grand Caravan Mini-Van for $27,412.28.

You are now in debt for the $27, 412.28, PLUS taxes, insurance and interest payments - BUT YOU GET TO ANNOUNCE TO THE WORLD THAT YOU JUST CUT $80,000 out of your household spending!

Is there any surprise WHY very few Americans trust their government any more?

*
We need constitutional conduct to guide our Federal spending cuts which will take time to do with entitlements converting them to private HSA/IRAs, creating a 90% cut in federal spending.  And we need FairTax as the consumption tax to make jobs to afford not only the transition to constitutional conduct, but to afford our own lives.
