From the desk of Senator Rand Paul

Dear Robert,

I recently prepared a video detailing what you and I need to do in the crucial months ahead.

You may have seen it already, but if you haven't, I hope you will take just a moment to watch it by clicking here.

And if you have, could you help spread the word by forwarding this email to your friends and family.

Every view will help build support for the Life at Conception Act, a simple bill that effectively bypasses Roe v. Wade to end abortion-on-demand in our nation.

Click here to watch my short video now.

1st Social Security, then Medicare, now Healthcare with eminent fiscal event coming?

We first got ourselves SSI and trusted the Feds to do right by our money. Went wrong, now with the Congress owing the SSI reserve over 76 Trillion Dollars. Then we took on medicare, putting Seniors on Federal Healthcare. Now we are putting not only low income, but soon all citizens under Federal Healthcare. In a perfect world, that would be great, but look at SSI and Medicare. Can you add that to our current fiscal cliff view?

We can transition from Federal control of nearly 90% of what they spend. SSI and Medicare make up nearly 60% of the budget. We can transition those over 40 and direct those under forty to go to private HSA/IRAs with local investment an option. This cures healthcare affordability with reality and not leeching insurance. Your SSI retirement dollars invested would be returned to you into your HSA/IRA over a transitional period of affording the end to SSI and Medicare.

The need for local investment will explode if we enact the Federal entitlement removal act when we implement FairTax, making for a seamless transaction as FairTax ends payroll taxes. Wage Earners will get their full gross paycheck and have the option to save it via the HSA/IRA, not having to pay federal taxes. It would behoove the States to mandate the HSA/IRA or do away with the Good Samaritan Act and let God's House get back to work.

Republican Leadership Sneaking Through Obamacare Funding!

Republican Leadership Sneaking Through Obamacare Funding!

First, thank you for all your help over the August Recess and for the Exempt America Rally today.  Your voice was heard – but not by everyone.  Wait 'til you see what Washington DC is trying to sneak through.  Our 24 hour countdown to stop them starts now!

The Ruling Elite is up to it again. They want you to think they have voted for defunding Obamacare – but it's another shell game – again. has the truth about Eric Cantor's 5 Step plan here (insert link again).  The gist of it is this:

1. The House will pass a concurrent resolution that defunds Obamacare – and – a Continuing Resolution that funds Obamacare!  That's like quitting smoking and then lighting up a cigarette.  The two conflicting Bills will be 'enrolled' as if they were one bill — so one vote passes two bills at the same time.  The Clerk of the House will send to the Senate the concurrent resolution that defunds Obamacare but includes funding for the rest of the government, and will hold the 'clean' continuing resolution at the desk until the Senate votes on the concurrent resolution that defunds Obamacare.

2. After passage in the House, the Senate has to have an up/down vote on the concurrent resolution with the defund language before the continuing resolution can move to the Senate. This is yet another show vote.  Because there is no price to be paid for voting it down and continuing to fund Obamacare, it has no binding leverage tied to it. It is truly a vote just for appearances.
3. After the Senate has the show vote on defund, the Senate may then pass the "clean" continuing resolution, which will then go to the President for his signature without having to go back to the House of Representatives. This continuing resolution would fund the government and would have no binding impact on defunding Obamacare in any way.

The Ruling Elite thinks another shell-game – where we, the people, lose money again – is acceptable. It is not.
The ruling elite in the House thinks that what we want is recorded votes in the House and Senate.  They are wrong. What we want is for them to stop funding Obamacare.

Obamacare is not ready for big business, big labor, or big government (which all got exemptions) and Obamacare is not ready for the American people.  Exempt America from Obamacare now.  Congress must pass a Continuing Resolution to fund the federal government for all of fiscal year 2014 that binds the defund Obamacare effort – and they must stop spending of any kind on Obamacare in 2014.

We have heard enough meaningless, empty promises from the Congress and it is time for action. No more games. No more tricks. No more shell games. Exempt America and Defund Obamacare Now.
Click to sign the petition now!

We need as many people to sign this petition as possible in the next 12 - 24 hours before the House makes a vote. This is critically important because leadership is putting the pressure on to get the House to take another meaningless vote. Please sign the petition now and download your Defund Obamacare Toolkit HERE.

Million American Jobs Project

Family & Friends,

This short video tells us how we can turn our economy around very easily.
This simple action can add one million jobs in the U.S almost immediately.
Passing the FairTax, which will reduce the cost of American produced goods and services by about 20% because it removes hidden taxes from our costs, will allow American business and labor compete with the rest of the world on a level playing field for the first time in generations.
Take a look at the FairTax at

21 of 28 MRP Michigan House Reps can change vote on MI Medicaid Bill~

Copy and paste:

Mi CPAC Norm Hughes~
The senate version of HB4714 goes back to the House, perhaps as early as Tuesday. Will we try to get 21 of the 28 Republicans who voted for it to switch their votes?

Legislators have been lied to,. The Governor and lobbyists have been spun a tale of unreimbursed indigent care. Hospitals pay no property, income or sales taxes to provide millions of dollars for indigent care. They double dip by overcharging paying patients and insurance companies for the same expenses, and now they will triple dip at the expense of our children and grand children. Let them know we care about our children and their increasing national debt, and that we object to health care special interests getting rich off our kids.

Medicaid expansion not only replicates and enforces Federal controls, waste and fraud, Medicaid has a record of poorer results compared to private insurance*. We are already spending more tax dollars per capita on health care than socialized medicine nations such as England and Canada. As typical, government seems to pile on instead of reviewing and cutting back programs that are not efficient or required under our founding documents. In this case it further entrenches ObamaCare when we need to be using all measures to diminish its impact and scope, until it can ultimately be nullified.
The "Affordable Care Act" received some conservative support under the ruse that it was about slowing the increase in health care costs. We know that has not been the result. Most of Michigan's major healthcare societies are embracing Medicaid expansion as a vehicle to get more money for their practices and hospitals, not as a vehicle for greater efficiency or improved care. I understand a hidden bonus for them is they will get compensated at Medicare rates that is higher than Medicaid rates. I think we have an antitrust issue here. When you are entrenched in a dangerous hole the first thing to do is stop digging.

As we see it this is a line-in-the-sand issue for conservative grass roots. We cannot see how any legislator or governor who believes in limited government could possibly support such an expansion. This separates statesmen from politicians. At some point principles must come first and we cannot keep piling debt on our children and grandchildren. You have been a beneficiary of this huge grass roots effort. The grass roots that gave Republicans big majorities in 2010 and 2012 are most upset about this particular issue. This expansion is contrary to the state and national Parties on which you ran. We hope you will not abandon those who have done so much for YOU.
It is impossible to approach the consideration of adding 470,00 or more Michigan residences to an “entitlement” program without considering the philosophical reality that this is a clear choice between enlarging government, or not. How much government is acceptable, and will this be the straw that breaks the camel’s back? As President Reagan said: “There is nothing on earth so eternal as a government program.” Once the spigot is turned on it is almost impossible to turn back, or improve.
